Joining Air Cadet is about more than wearing a uniform—it’s about personal growth, skill development, and becoming part of a supportive and inspiring community. As a cadet, you’ll:
Receive comprehensive training that includes both general NZCF training and specific Air Cadet Corps training.
Experience flight training and learn about aviation.

As an air cadet, you’ll benefit from a structured, four-year training program that offers unmatched opportunities and challenges. You’ll develop skills in areas such as:
Aviation Training
Fieldcraft and first aid
Drill and ceremonial procedures
Firearms safety and marksmanship
Leadership and teamwork
Physical fitness and sports
Navigation and communication, including radio and drones
Community involvement, including commemorative events like Anzac Day

Eligibility Requirements:
Must be between 13 and 15 years old (or 12 and currently enrolled in Year 9 of high school).
Parental or guardian consent is required to apply and for participation in activities for those under 18.
